Rosalie Liddle-Crawford

Festival Garden, Sat 25, 6pm-7:30pm, Festival Garden

Rosalie Liddle Crawford is a Tauranga-based pianist and composer whose musical journey began early, winning the Tauranga Piano Cup at age 15.

With an ATCL in Music Teaching, Rosalie has a rich and varied musical career spanning classical performance, musical theatre, jazz, and rock. She has performed at the New Zealand International Arts Festival in Wellington and was a longtime collaborator with Tauranga theatre director Bob Addison, playing piano for numerous musical productions.

Rosalie has been accompanying church services since the age of 13 and continues to play for weddings, funerals, and private functions. Her collection of three pianos includes a 130-year-old painted upright, which she has taken to the Pilot Bay boardwalk on summer evenings for the past 11 years, creating a unique and much-loved community experience.

In addition to her live beachside performances, Rosalie has composed original musicals and released a CD titled 'Waiting for your Return' designed, in her words, to help people "nod off on the couch after a particularly gruelling day at work".
