Tuhia tō waiata ki tō rae
Learn your waiata, write your words on your forehead
Bring the whole whānau down to the waterfront and sing to your heart’s content with Tauranga Arts Festival’s big community singalong, Waiata Mai.
With local legends like Ria Hall (Ngāi Te Rangi, Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāti Pukenga) and the Tuatara Collective Choir leading us in song, this is a free event for the whole of Tauranga Moana, curated by Jason Te Mete (Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāi Te Rangi).
From Tū Tira Mai Ngā Iwi to Hallelujah in te reo Māori, let’s sing together. We’ll provide the words, you just bring a blanket and organise your whānau and friends.
