Daffodils screening at Rialto Tauranga

Join us for our fundraising screening of Daffodils, 6:30pm Wed 27 March at Rialto Tauranga. Inspired by true events, this upbeat love story features an iconic NZ soundtrack.

Daffodils is a screen adaptation of the theatre production that featured in the 2015 Festival. A universally resonant love story that is also uniquely Kiwi. Inspired by true events from her parents own lives, Tauranga local Rochelle Bright wrote the piece after studying theatre and music at New York University. Rochelle wanted to tell a uniquely New Zealand story with universal themes of love, death and betrayal.

An uplifting but heart-aching musical love story, the film features songs from Crowded House, LIPS, Bic Runga, Chris Knox, The Mint Chicks, Dave Dobbyn, The Clean, The Exponents, Darcy Clay, Mutton Birds, Th’Dudes, The Senators/Ray Columbus and the Invaders, The Swingers and Blam Blam Blam.
