Sports broadcaster and rugby writer Phil Gifford, a survivor of prostate cancer, reckons men need to learn from women that going to a doctor is not a sign of weakness.

His latest book is about men’s health and, with the aid of specialists and the NZ Men’s Health Trust, tackles everything from prostate cancer and heart disease to bowel cancer and diabetes, as well as how ordinary blokes of all ages can stay well, fitter, and happier.
