An interactive storytelling of one of the world’s greatest navigators.

Come join us on an adventure across the Pacific Ocean in search of the Land of the Long White Cloud. Our guide is the high priest Tupaia, who grew up on the island of Ra’iātea - this is where our adventure begins. A large foreign waka called the Endeavour arrives, men speak in a strange tongue called English; they are looking for the great southern continent. Tupaia is the brilliant navigator who can locate the beautiful land called Aotearoa.

Courtney Sina Meredith and Mat Tait’s celebrated graphic novel “The Adventures of Tupaia”, is brought to life with storyteller and actor Pele Meredith, and sound artist Kingsley Spargo directed by Kim Meredith. Evocative live soundscapes created through an array of musical instruments, special effects and technologies takes the audience on a journey to another time and place, and help tell this essential part of our Pasifika history. Suitable for ages 5 - 12 years.
