Using foot-high totems of New Zealand historical figures, best-selling poet Glenn Colquhoun explores Māori and Pākehā oral poetic forms, inspired by the likes of Robbie Burns and Te Rauparaha.

Glenn’s third collection, Playing God, won both the poetry and the reader’s choice sections of the NZ Book Awards in 2003 and he became the first NZ poet to sell 5000 copies of a book. Suitable for secondary students.
